We are all excited as we make our way towards the
start -point.

Alright guys - spread your arms and air
your air-pits - feel the cool air under your arms..

OK girls - time to turn into ultra-woman.. Hai!

Real antique outdoor tables & chairs.. lucky we
do not have such structures in Si Ling

*..a hiking on the sand .. on our hands, we'll get a tan..
aye-o-a merrio - we love to climb Mt Jantan *

What a discovery - a giant bird nest!!

We are going into the unknown - hope no quicksand..

The first 300m was "xiong" - we were told it
was only a work out!! They got to be kidding!

Are we queuing up for Hello Kitty?

Our first hand encounter with the effects of forest
fires in Indonesia. See the charred trees on the right?

"No birds in sight. Hope no bird droppings today.
I had one on my shoulder yesterday...."

"Oooii.. camera! there is a naked
jungle man in front!!! Quick! Ms Su!"

Exhausted but we made it to the mid point!

Briefing with the trainers for the
final lap up Mt Jantan..

This is what we saw looking up under the canopy
of leaves..it was dark even during midday..

You scratch my thumb and I scratch your thumb..
we are great friends aren't we?

We MADE IT!! WOW! Err..Where is the view?
Hey - we have been cheated - there is no view
here!!

Concentration camp for foreigner-spies entering
into Indonesia, disguised as teachers and students
and pretending to climb Mt Jantan for school-immersion
activities..

It was chicken feat - sorry we meant "chicken feet"
We saw one disjointed chicken feet at the submit..
Someone must have been busy eating chicken up here..

If I can make it - you can make it too!
I made it to the submit in record time of
5 mins and 30 seconds - Mr Tan and
I discovered an elevator beside this mountain..

Ok - this is how we are going to break out of this
concentration camp - Bob, you need to break
this wall down with your belly muscle..

We love this concentration camp - the satellite
tower behind us gives us CNN, NBA, HBO, cartoon
network...what more channels can we ask for?

The second challenge is now going down the hill..
Are we jumping off from that boulder?

The steep climb down looks
dangerous but it was really
easy and quite safe..

"Guess what! There is a undiscovered hidden
paradise at the base of Mt Jantan! They have
swimming pools, toilets and chalets....amazing!"
(water from stream fills up the pool and the locals
take a dip in it for free!)

"Results for the youth olympic for solo diving..
....9.9...9.8....8....10...9.9....8.9..."
(locals showing off their diving skills)

Mt Jantan Resort Chalet - you can bathe or swim in the
water but you cannot drink the water..it looks polluted..

The natives come out from the jungle to barbecue
next to the pool..

The local favourite fruit - hot and sour coconut
juice..the husks are sometimes
used as helmets on their motorcycles..

The best activity of the day - makan..

"Farhan - first we smile at the girls to get their
attention, then we move closer to say Selemat Pegi..ok?"
(The resting place after our final challenge)

Our bellies are happy now..

A fantastic journey with a fantastic team of people..

Now for a short snooozzzz....

Final debriefing by the trainers..
It was indeed a great experience for all of us..
:D
